Recently I have been working on some portraiture- photographing people is easily one of my favorite subject matters. I’ve shot thousands of portraits and it never seems to get old. Being able to capture an image of someone exactly as they are is important to me. I’m capturing an exact moment in time for that person to remember as long as they hold that photograph.
A few weeks ago I had a portrait session with a friend of mine. She has a theory that she is never going to look any better than she does now. She wanted to capture how she looks now so someday she can show her grandchildren what a beautiful woman she was. Allison is a beautiful girl and I’m sure will remain as just as beautiful, inside and out, as she ages. Allison wanted to do some regular portraits and some sexier boudoir photographs. Needless to say we shot for the better half of an afternoon. We had a fantastic time- she was a little nervous at first but she faired fantastically.
This past weekend my partner Tim and I had a baby shoot scheduled but do to the gloomy weather it was rescheduled to a later date. The drizzly weather didn’t stop Tim and I though and we went out for some practice at Allaire State Park in New Jersey. Don’t tell Tim but there’s a chance the best part of having a partner is always having a model!
Tim and I are looking forward to next weekend when we get to capture another portrait session – another set of memories.
