Every day is filled with memories. Some are small moments in our day while others are larger milestones in our lives. Just this past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing two of those milestone memories.
First there was Senior Prom- a moment that is planned for and dreamed about by high school seniors for months. I think at first the prom goers were a little surprised at the seriousness of their pre-prom photographs. Perhaps expecting parents with point and shoot cameras they all got a little excited to see flashing lights and professional photographers standing in front of them.
I think they felt like rockstars as they left for prom knowing that they’d have the coolest pre-prom photos posted to facebook before they got home.
The next milestone moment was for a young woman who had just received her bachelor’s degree. She wanted a headshot done that would blend into the yearbook with ease. We looked through a previous year’s publication and noticed that many of the prior graduates photos were done with earth tone backgrounds so we set her up against a stone facade and shot away.
With a beautiful proud smile and some hair coaching from her best friend we captured the perfect image for her yearbook and her mom’s mantle.
Capturing that special moment in a photograph allows families and friends to remember and appreciate the the important memories – no matter how big or small.
Congratulations to the Seniors and many thanks for allowing me to be a part of your special moments.Google+
