They say that a picture says 1000 words but I just can’t let this blog post begin without telling you about the wonderful, inspiring woman we had the chance to work with.
Amy is surviving cervical cancer.
She’s more than fighting her own cancer – she’s determined to use this part of her life for to support others. While chatting with Tim and I she expressed her concern for others hearing the words “you have cancer”. She believes that cancer is not the end of your life but a new beginning and wants to share her belief and inspire others to keep positive.
To celebrate her journey we had 2 in 1 session with Amy and her family. To our surprise Amy and the boys never previously had photographs together. It was an honor and a joy to be their first photographers!
Our friend Lolly updated Amy’s hair and make-up to a dramatic “Kim Kardashian” inspired look for a shoot with just Amy herself. She is aware that her body will change when she begins radiation and chemo treatments and wanted to document her changes through a few photographs.
Keep surviving Amy! Your courage is beautiful!
